These self-sustaining ecosystems include a group of living organisms to keep it balanced. A marvel of an aquascape.
What's included in each complete setup:
● Opae Ula Hawaiian dwarf shrimp. You will receive a mix of adults and young Opae Ula . These are very hardy and live for 20 years. The colors will be varied from clear to a red color. The sizes shipped are 1/4-1/2 inch size.
● Either a glass or hard plastic container.
● Substrate/gravel made of lava rock and other helpful minerals to their health.
● Lava rocks for caves, (good for breeding)
● Small trumpet snails, also great cleaners.
● Adequate amount of brackish water to instantly create your aquarium setup.
● Algae and moss to keep the water filtered while feeding your shrimp and snails.
● Basic instructions for setup and upkeep.
The only thing required of you is to keep topping it off with fresh water from the faucet at room temperature and this system will last the life of the shrimp (20 years at least) without any other needs. So if you're looking for a setup with very minimal upkeep or feeding these are the ones for you. You don't even have to feed them as the algae and moss included will continue to grow and supply them the required food that they need.

These shrimp were sold for years in cruel conditions in totally sealed setups before it was known they could live 20 years with an opened setup compared to the 7 years with the sealed setup. So that is why this setup comes with a removable cover for gas exchange.
